1st family photo

This is our first attempt at a family photo. It went pretty well, because of our sweet friend Brenda who is very patient and flexible! It was 45 degrees and VERY windy! FUN!
Hope everyone has a fun , safe and tasty Thanksgiving!

Home photo shoot

These are my favorites!

9 months

We had to show our ACU pride for her 9 month picture. Peyton was 18 lbs and 26 1/2 in. I can still squeeze her into some 3 month clothes! We got some yucky news with this check-up. Peyton has hip dysplagia. We are going to see an ortho specialist at Children's in Dallas on the 30th this month to see what we will do next. I don't like our options. I hope and pray that we get great news and we don't have to do anything!

I love those beautiful eyes!

Hunker Down

Well, We survived the eye of the storm and no TV!! Caleb decided that he knew how to hunker down during the storm. We actually had a pretty fun time playing to candlelight.
We jumped, wrestled and snuggled in our pile of soft stuff. Right now this is ALOT more fun than a tent. It is too tempting to just pull the tent down as it is being put up.

I love this picture! I can just see a future teenager in that same position and we will probably still have that chair too! Thanks Mike and Coleenie!

Here is our sweet girl who is 8 1/2 mo old and has perfected crawling in 2 days. She took her first crawling steps on Wed and crawled to Caleb across the living room today. I am glad everything is still crawler proof. We had to lower the crib last night. I am glad we did because I found her standing up after her nap today. It is going by too fast!

First day of school

What a big boy!! Monday was Caleb's first day of school(mothers day out). He goes two days a week from 9:00-2:30. So far, he is not ready to leave when we come to pick him up. I guess that is a good thing. I can't believe how fast it flies by.
Thank you God for the blessing of children and the time that we get to spend with them. Please help me to not take this precious time for granted.

Fun Together!

I love this picture. We always have to have close togetherness. I love it! Here are a few fun in the yard pictures. Caleb likes to be sure that Peyton is having as much fun as she can stand. She takes it pretty well.

Just thought that we needed some new pics up of our beautiful children. I am so excited because the time is coming when Caleb and Peyton can play together and entertain each other. I am sooooo excited about that. At least right now they play side by side very well. I am so blessed!

You will notice that most of the pics of them both smiling and looking at the camara are of the same background. This is the only way Caleb will be still long enough to say CHEESE.

Beautiful Girl!

Following in Dad's footsteps!

Team Mexico

We were so excited for Dad to come home from Mexico because he always brings presents! Here they are showing off their matching Mexican soccer jerseys AND new light up tennis shoes!

Peyton also started on her first tastes of baby food. We had to get her good first messy picture. Those sweet potatoes ARE as good as they look!

As I suspected...

As I suspected, I am a terrible blogger. When I get a little time to myself, I don't usually want to get on the computer. I will try to do better. Peyton just turned 6 months old is doing very well. She was 14 lbs 14ounces and 26 1/2 in. Small and slim. What a surprise!

Thanks Aunt Sarah and cousin Brittany for the CUTE dress.

Caleb continues to learn that you can't look behind you while you run full speed ahead. This is a
very hard lesson to learn. You also have to be careful while on stairs because you can bust your lip and get it caught between your teeth! OUCH! It was a very eventful Wed. night at church!

4 months old

Peyton is 4 months old and as sweet as she can be! At our MD appt. she was 12 lbs 13 oz and 23 3/4 in. She has turned over a couple of times but is still trying to get the hang of it. She loves to babble and sing and is taking the accidental bumps and knocks to the head very well.

We can't have a photo shoot without big brother!

There are still lots of kisses to go with the bumps to the head. I love how she is getting ready for all the love!

This picture is a little blurry, but I love that Caleb is really perfecting his big "CHEESE" smile!

2nd B-day Party

We had a great Buzz Lightyear 2nd B-day party at the church playground. The kids hunted easter eggs(you can never hunt eggs too much!) and played in the 5000 a minute bubble fountain. It was great fun. I can't believe how big our boy is getting. At his check up, he was 32.8 lbs, 36 1/2 inches. We are learning what it really means to have a two year old!

Yeah! It's big brother's birthday.

Day at the zoo

We decided to go to the zoo on the last day off that Mommy and Daddy had together, then it is back to work on Mondays. Caleb had a great time, especially looking at the colorful frogs and the beautiful white tigers. Peyton had a fun time sleeping in the stroller the entire time. Here are a few pics.

3 months!

Our sweet girl is 3 months old. Time is really flying because we are having fun!

All kisses, well....mostly kisses. Caleb loves his baby "Paa"

Easter at LTC

We get to spend Easter together at the Hilton Anatole because of LTC. We really had a fun time except when it was time for pictures!

This year, the hotel remodeled and the first few nights we didn't have a bathtub! I was not expecting that. So...Dad put on his swimsuit and they had a great time in the HUGE glass shower.

The hotel has a beautiful grassy courtyard that was perfect for about 3 minutes of hunting eggs. It was a great end to our weekend. Thanks Granddad and Grandma for helping us have fun at LTC!!

The fireplace won

Caleb and the fireplace duked it out and the fireplace won. It was real bloody and everything. Dad was very proud!

Big Boy Haircut

Caleb is very proud of his new do. We had to put hair glue in it to get the right effect. He is really feeling like a big boy. He thinks it is really fun to have Peyton on the floor with him and hold her hand. She might be fun to have around after all.

Family photo

Here is out first Sunday morning family photo. I can't believe that we all had smiles on our faces, since we took it at home after church and lunch. Sunday mornings are always an adventure.

We pulled out the bumbo to see how Peyton was doing and she will be ready for it very soon. Caleb was feeling like he needed to see how it was fitting on him as well.

fun-filled daze

Things are going well at the Beaver house. Peyton is sleeping well at night and has already slept two nights in her crib in her room! Yeah! Caleb continues to sleep well and always ready to go"night-night."

We all went to church together last week and enjoyed showing off the kids at the dedication service. Here are a few pics of our first Sunday.

Here is Peyton getting her head work out. Caleb found this to be very interesting and wanted to "help" by lovingly hitting her on the head. He is ready for her to play!

harder than I thought

Well, keeping up with new blog posts and 2 kids is harder than I thought. Here are some pics of our first weeks at home. After 5 seperate trips to the hospital for her Biliruben test (jaundice), her levels finally came down without having to put her in the tanning booth.
Her days and nights are still all messed up, which in turn makes our days and nights all mixed up too. But we are catching up on our shows on the DVR - so that's something, right?
We've been so blessed to have my parents (Grandma and Granddad Floyd) stay with us these first two weeks to help us get adjusted. They were smart and stayed in their 5th wheel at night.
I plan on writing more later as I get time. But I did want to share some pics with you from the last two weeks.

Caleb is real excited about Peyton's arrival so far.

Can't you tell? We like to think that he's just working on his "don't mess with my little sister" look. In that case, he's pretty good at it already.

Pretty girl! And so photogenic (SP?)!
